Scuba Instruction in Naples & Marco Island, FL

Naples has a quiet advantage for new divers: a line of shallow artificial reefs a short run offshore, and the blue-green shallows of the Ten Thousand Islands behind them. Clear-ish, calm, and forgiving — the right combination to learn in.

Where you’ll dive in Naples

Real sites, with honest depths. Kaitlyn will tell you which of these your certification level actually suits before you book anything.

Santa Lucia Reef 20–25 ft

A 47-foot turtle boat sunk as an artificial reef in 1997, about 3.8 miles west of Gordon Pass. Shallow, easy, and the standard first boat dive out of Naples.

The Paddlewheeler wreck 40–60 ft

A locally beloved wreck site with big groupers, amberjacks and passing pelagics. A good step up once your buoyancy and comfort are solid.

Baja California Reef 110–115 ft

Deep-water structure well offshore — this one is for divers with Advanced training and a recent deep dive, not for a certification course.

Ten Thousand Islands nearshore 6–20 ft

Mangrove-fringed shallows and patch bottom. Sheltered from most wind and ideal for the first open-water dives of a course.

A region with a genuine shallow ladder

What makes Naples useful for instruction is the spread of depth. You can run open-water dives at 20 feet on Santa Lucia in the morning and be looking at 110 feet at Baja California a year later on the same stretch of coast. A diver trained here has a natural progression instead of a wall.

How the travel works

Kaitlyn comes to Naples, runs your sessions in local water, and coordinates the boat or shore access with you in advance. Tell her your dates, your certification level if you have one, and how many divers you are — she will come back with a plan rather than a class calendar. More lead time means a better plan.

She comes to you. Kaitlyn is based in Venice and travels for instruction across Florida — Naples included. Give her as much lead time as you can and she arranges the pool, the boat and the dates around your group rather than handing you a fixed class calendar. Travel cost and scheduling depend on distance, group size, and how many days you need; she quotes it directly when you send your dates.

Scuba instruction in Naples — questions

Can I get certified in Naples without traveling to Venice?

Yes — that is the entire point of her travel instruction. Kaitlyn brings the course to your area and arranges the local pool and boat logistics with you.

Is Naples diving good enough to keep diving after certification?

Yes. Between the shallow reef line, the deeper wrecks, and the offshore towers, there is enough range for years of local diving rather than one certification weekend.
